Zwei weitere Releaes sind inzwischen bestätigt:

Mit Jokerface (IT) kommt eine junge, extrem motivierte und stilechte Band zu Rocking Records, deren Debütalbum auf CD und Vinyl veröffentlicht wird. (Release am 22.06.2012)

The Resignators (AUT), die australischen Skapunk-Heroen, sind der jüngste Neuzugang bei Rocking Records. Mit ihrem eigenständigen Stil a la Rancid und den frühen Bostones gelten sie zugleich als einer der wertvollsten Signings für Rocking Records. Im Juli werden sie auf eine ausgedehnte, knapp vierwöchige Europatournee kommen und die erste Europa-Veröffentlichug in Clubs und bei verschiedenen namhaften Festivals zelebrieren. The Butlers - a.k.a. Bensonmam (Deutschland) wurde am 03. Februar veröffentlicht.

Und drei weitere Alben kommen die Tage aus dem Presswerk: Desorden Publico - Los Contrarios (Venezuela); The Void Union - Higher Guns (U.S.A.) und The Blaster Master - Two Tone Bastards (Finnland); Damit setzen wir unsere Reihe erstklassiger Ska-Veröffentlichungen aus der ganzen Welt fort. Darüber hinaus verhandeln wir gerade mit drei Spitzenacts aus Jamaika und bereiten ebenso das Debüt von Leo & The Lineup (Dänemark) vor, das für Mai geplant ist.

Prince Perry Cover!! Am 09.12.2011 veröffentlichen wir das Album „Love At The End Of The Century“ der großartigen Kanadier „Prince Perry“ in Europa. Es setzt absolut Maßstäbe bezüglich einer zeitgenössischen Skamusik für jedermann. Ihre poppigen, eingängigen Melodien sowie die netten Stories, die erzählt werden und in zunächst zwei genialen Videos verarbeitet wurden, bringen Prince Perry schnell auf die Liste erfolgreicher Kollegen aus England wie Madness, The Hotknives und jüngst Buster Shuffle. Wir freuen uns sehr das kanadische Künstlerkollektiv für unser Label gewonnen zu haben und versprechen grandiose Unterhaltung!

On the 9th of december we release the album “Love At The End Of The Century” of the great canadians “Prince Perry” in europe. Their contemporary sound of ska is setting new standars in the world of pop-influenced ska with catchy melodies. So they follow the success of similar artists of the scene like Madness, The Hotknives or even the young Buster Shuffle with ska music for everybody like their trendy melodies and stories, which are also carried by two great videos so far, definitely prooves. We are glad to have won this great canadian collective of artists for Rocking Records and promise lots of entertainment with this piece of music!

Two New Releases on 25.11.2011 | Kevin Batchelor and Freddy Loco & His Gordos Ska Band signed recently!

Am 25.11.2011 veröffentlichen wir gleich zwei Releases auf einmal. Das gelungene selbstbetitelte Solo-Debüt von Kevin Batchelor, dem Skatalites-Trompeter, und das bereits vierte Album „Round 4“ von Freddy` Loco & His Gordos Ska Band.

On the 25th of november two new releases will be published. The great solo-debute Kevin Batchelor`s Grand Concourse. And the fourth album of Freddy Loco & His Gordos Ska Band, called “Round 4”. Kevin Batchelor, als Trompeter der The Skatalites wohl bekannt, beginnt mit Kevin Batchelor`s Grand Concourse aktuell sein eigenes New Yorker Ska/Reggae-Projekt. Aus den vielen Musikern, mit denen er all die Jahre in der Ska-Szene gespielt hat, hat er sich eine einzigartige Truppe zusammengestellt, deren Chemie stimmt. Dass ist auf dem Debüt-Album unschwer zu erkennen. Es wurde im Mai in der U.S.A. veröffentlicht (Moosburg Music) und ist ab 25. November 2011 auch in Europa erhältlich (Rocking Records/BROKEN SILENCE)

Kevin Batchelor`s Grand Concourse: This is a new NYC based ska/reggae project behind frontman Kevin Batchelor. Kevin is well known for his work as a sideman with The Skatalites, but now KB is fronting his own original project called Grand Concourse. The band is loaded with talent that Kevin met along the way in the close knit ska community. The instant chemistry in the group can be heard in their debut record, released by Mossburg Music (www.mossburgmusic.com) in the U.S.A. and by Rocking Records in Europe./span> Freddy Loco macht mit „Round 4“ einen nächsten, großen Schritt auf seinem kontinuierlichen und ambitionierten Weg eine starke musikalische Kraft zwischen den legendären Skatalites und dem fantastischen New York Ska Jazz Ensemble zu bilden. Großartiger Ska-Jazz ist sein Masterplan und seine Einflüsse sind leicht zu erkennen. Seine coole Attitüde erinnert an Chet Baker. With “Round 4” Freddy Loco took his next large step on his continous and ambitious way in building a strong force within the ska scene between the legendary “The Skatalites” and the fantastic “New York Ska Jazz Ensemble”. Great Ska-Jazz is the Masterplan and the influences are easy to recognize. Hail out for this great piece of jazzy Skamusic, pimped by a soft voive and lots of more influences and broucht together to the unique, cool sound and style of Freddy!

Rocking Records Numero 3 | Keyser Soze – But Not For You

15. Oktober 2011: Der 11.11.11 wird es werden, das Releasedatum für unseren dritten Release. Und mancher in Europa wird sich fragen, wer bitte ist „Keyser Soze“. Doch während sich andere Labels um große Namen streiten, entscheiden wir uns für großartige Musik. „Keyser Soze“, das Septett aus Reno, Nevada, veröffentlichen mit „But Not For You“ bereits das dritte Album. Höchste Zeit, dass ihre Musik auch bei uns die längst verdiente Anerkennung erfährt. Denn die Profimusiker um Mastermind Jammal Tarkington stehen den großen amerikanischen Bands, die es bisher nach Europa geschafft haben (The Slackers, The Aggrolites, Hepcat, The Scofflaws, The Toasters, The Void Union u.a.) in nichts, aber auch gar nichts nach. „But Not For You“ bietet alles, was ein zeitgenössisches Album zwischen Ska, Rocksteady und Reggae nur haben kann und verspricht lange Zeit ungebremsten Hörspaß.

On the 11.11.11 we`ll release our third album. And maybe some Europeans will ask: Who the Fuck ist “Keyser Soze”. But while some other labels fight for big names, we just decide for great music. “Keyser Soze, the seven hepcats from Reno, Nevada, release already their third album with “But Not For You”. So it`s about time that they earn the long overdue probs for their great music, which is in no way inferior to alikes as The Slackers, The Aggrolites, Hepcat, The Scofflaws, The Toasters, The Void Union, to name just a view. “But Nor For You” offers everything, what a contemporary piece of ska, rocksteady and reggae has to offer and promises lots of fun! Zweite Veröffentlichung unter Dach und Fach | Second Release soon!

22. Juli 2011: Am 05. August ist es soweit. Wir erweitern unser Portfolio um die grandiosen Jim Murple Memorial und veröffentlichen deren aktuelles Album „A La Recherche D´un Son Perdu“. Es wurde auch Zeit, dass der geniale Longplayer auch im deutschsprachigen Raum erhältlich ist. Immerhin arbeiten die Pariser Profis bereits an der nächsten Scheibe, auf die wir uns für 2012 freuen dürfen. Im Zentrum ihrer Arbeit steht nach wie vor ihr einzigartiger „Jamaican R&B“, der uns ganz unabhängig davon, ob Sängerin Nanou englisch oder französisch singt, den Zauber Jamaikas Ende der 50er Jahre nachfühlen lässt. Dazu kommen verschiedene Einflüsse aus der reggaegeprägten Heimat der Musiker sowie aus Reggae, Calypso, Ska und vor allem auch Jazz. Wir freuen uns die erfolgreichste Skaband Frankreichs in unserer Familie begrüßen zu dürfen.

With Jim Murple Memorial`s actual album „A La Recherche D`un Son Perdu” we found our wonderful second release. It`s high time that this awesome longplayer is available in the german speaking countries now. Nevertheless the professionals from Paris are working on their next cd yet, which we are looking forward to release soon in 2012. In the center of their work there still is there unique “Jamaican R&B”, which brings us the magic of the jamaican island of the late 50s into our living rooms and onto european stages. Also influences from their country as well as from Reggae, Calypso, Ska and also Jazz complete their fantastic sound. We are glad to have the most succesfull skaband from france in or family now!!!

18. Juni 2011: Das Dynamite Magazin sowie das Wahrschauer Magazin werden jeweils einen Song der grandiosen The One Droppers auf ihrer nächsten Heft-CD präsentieren. The One Droppers befinden sich auf beiden Scheiben in bester Gesellschaft. Aufgemerkt also im Zeitschriftenladen Euerer Wahl!!!

13. Mai 2011: Die erste Veröffentlichung steht seit 13. Mai offiziell in den Läden Eueres Vertrauens. Sie ist erhältlich in Deutschland, Österreich, Schweiz, Benelux, Skandinavien, U.K., Frankreich, Spanien, Argentinien und U.S.A. Wir können Euch den Kauf nur wärmstens ans Herz legen. Die Platte ist genial und will nicht mehr aus Euerem Player, ist versprochen. Die italienische Ausnahmeband hat den Release mit zwei herausragenden Auftritten in Erfurt und Bamberg gefeiert. Im September, Oktober und Dezember werden sie wieder nach Deutschland kommen.

Die Band wird für den Release extra nach Deutschland kommen und ihn am Freitag in Erfurt (Ilvers) feiern und am Samstag, den 14. Mai 2011 in Bamberg (Sound`n`Arts) zur offiziellen Release-Party des Labels aufspielen.

The release date for "The Big One - The One Droppers" is fixed. It is Friday, the 13th of May 2011. The band will visit germany for two release-gigs: First one on Friday in Erfurt (Ilvers) and on Saturday, 14 May 2011 in Bamberg (Sound `n` Arts), which is the date of the official release party of the label.

Rocking Records vertreibt über den Hamburger Vertrieb BROKEN SILENCE in Deutschland, Österreich, Schweiz, Benelux und Skandinavien. In Spanien über Liquidator Records. In Argentinien/Brasilien über Isla Club Records. In Frankreich über Red Head Man. Verhandlungen mit italienischen und britischen Händlern laufen noch.

The first distribution agreements for Rocking Records are completed. Rocking Records distributes throughout BROKEN SILENCE in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux and Scandinavia. In Spain with the help of Liquidator Records. In Argentina & Brazil throughout Isla Club Records and in france with the help of Red Head Man. negotiations with Italian and British dealers are still ongoing.

Currently we are at the final negotiations for the first signing by Rocking Records: The Italian No 1-ska band from Milan: The One Droppers who present their awesome debute called "The Big One". Could there be a better name and band for the very first release of this upcoming label for ska music?.
